CitiusTech Commits to Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) to Advance Climate Action

Princeton, New Jersey, Sept 19, 2025 CitiusTech, a leading provider of healthcare technology, services & solutions, has received approval on its carbon reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, We Mean Business Coalition, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

The company announced that its climate targets are aligned with the global effort to limit warming to 1.5°C for Scope 1 and 2 emissions, with its Scope 3 revenue intensity target consistent with a well-below 2°C pathway. As part of this commitment, the company aims to achieve a 54.6 percent reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by FY2033 compared to a FY2023 base year, and to lower Scope 3 GHG emissions intensity by 61.1 percent per USD value added within the same timeframe.

“At CitiusTech, we believe technology can advance equity, improve health outcomes, and protect the planet,” said Punam Shejale, CISO and Head of CSR & Sustainability, CitiusTech. “Our climate action is grounded in science and purpose. By embedding these targets across our operations and innovation, we’re pairing digital innovation with tangible steps to reduce our environmental impact and support more equitable, resilient care.”

By committing to near-term, company-wide emission reductions in line with climate science through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), CitiusTech joins a global network of companies aligning their decarbonization strategies with science-based targets. This commitment enhances the company’s ability to meet evolving disclosure requirements and strengthens its position as a responsible, future-ready partner for healthcare and life-science organizations.

The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting and independently assesses and validates targets, showing companies how much and how quickly they need to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions to avoid dangerous warming.
