CitiusTech’s PERFORM+™ Connect Platform Receives FHIR® Compliance Certification by Drummond Group

Drummond certification gives CMS-regulated health plans confidence in the PERFORM+™ Connect platform’s ability to give patients access to their clinical data using patient access FHIR APIs

Princeton, N.J. (Jun 17, 2022) - CitiusTech, a leading provider of healthcare technology solutions and consulting services, announces its PERFORM+™ Connect platform has received the Drummond Certified™ powered by Touchstone certification. This certification verifies compliance with the latest requirements and recommendations set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Interoperability and Patient Access final rule (CMS-9115-F).

PERFORM+ Connect is a unique solution designed and purposely built to support interoperability by sharing data across healthcare entities- patients, payers, providers, third parties unlike other platforms in the market. It offers out-of-the-box interoperability across payer organizations by leveraging FHIR-enabled components and modules, including several Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), a FHIR data repository, an Identity Access Management (IAM) module, and FHIR Parsers. It can be deployed as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution or in a hybrid Cloud model.

“CitiusTech’s PERFORM+ Connect platform received our Drummond Certified™ Powered by Touchstone certification and has met the rigorous requirements set by CMS,” says Ryan Patano, Drummond president.

PERFORM+ Connect achieved Drummond’s Payer and Patient Access FHIR® certification for five badges, including Drug Formulary, Provider Directory, Claims and Encounter Data, Clinical Data and Bulk Data Export Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource (FHIR®) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). This highly sought-after certification validates PERFORM+ Connect as fully compliant with the FHIR® Implementation Guides referenced in the Payer and Patient Access FHIR API requirements of the CMS Final Rule.

“Healthcare organizations need to achieve true interoperability to drive coordination, engagement and overall simplification. We believe FHIR can drive that vision,” said Jeffrey Springer, Senior Vice President of healthcare solutions at CitiusTech. “This certification strongly asserts CitiusTech’s ability to meet ONC and CMS FHIR® requirements, and continues with our commitment to help healthcare organizations reach their goals of connecting disparate data and processes.”

Under the CMS IPA Final Rule, CMS-regulated health plans must give patients access to their clinical data using patient access FHIR APIs to provide patients faster and user-friendly access to their records anytime and anywhere they need it. They must also make provider directory information publicly available through a standards-based API. The Drummond certification powered by the AEGIS.net Touchstone platform corroborates the PERFORM+ Connect solution’s comprehensive ability to support the CMS FHIR mandate.

In addition to the Drummond Group’s designation PERFORM+ Connect adheres to multiple HL7 Implementation Guides (e.g., CARIN BB, USCDI, Da-Vinci). The platform can expose patient access, provider, and formulary APIs and access them securely using OAuth 2.0 protocols. Its scalable architecture enables health plan use cases for future compliance designations, additional APIs, reporting requirements and artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
