About CCHIT: The Certification
Commission is a private nonprofit organization with the
sole public mission of accelerating the adoption of
robust, interoperable health information technology by
creating a credible, efficient certification process.
The Certification Commission is a recognized
certification body for electronic health records and
their networks.

About HL7:
Founded in 1987, Health Level Seven, Inc. (www.HL7.org)
is a not-for-profit, ANSI-accredited standards
development organization dedicated to providing
standards for interoperability that improve care
delivery, optimize workflow, reduce ambiguity and
enhance knowledge transfer among all of our
stakeholders, including healthcare providers, government
agencies, the vendor community, fellow SDOs and
patients. HL7’s more than 2,300 members represent
approximately 500 corporate members, which includes more
than 90 percent of the information systems vendors
serving healthcare domain.

About HITSP: Healthcare Information
Technology Standards Panel(HITSP) has a mission to serve
as a cooperative partnership between the public and
private sectors for the purpose of achieving a widely
accepted and useful set of standards specifically to
enable and support widespread interoperability among
healthcare software applications, as they will interact
in a local, regional and national health information
network for the United States.

About IHE: IHE is an initiative by
healthcare professionals and industry to improve the way
computer systems in healthcare share information. IHE
promotes the coordinated use of established standards
such as DICOM and HL7 to address specific clinical needs
in support of optimal patient care. Systems developed in
accordance with IHE communicate with one another better,
are easier to implement, and enable care providers to
use information more effectively.
